Communication Skills Workshop for Property Valuation
Target Group:
Property Valuation specialists who would like to improve their communications skills in realistic work settings using job-related vocabulary.
Seminar Target:
The main objective is to practice using appropriate terminology associated with real-estate valuation and appraisal in a property-finance context.Participants in this seminar will improve their ability to:
- Establish good relationships with international business contacts
- Gather key information to determine a property's worth
- Describe aspects of a building, piece of land or site with confidence
- Discuss methods of analysis and explain them
- Justify and give reasons for a particular valuation
Content:
- Asking appropriate questions to find out key details about a property
- Talking about a property sector's past performance and future projections
- Presenting methods of analysis and valuation
- Persuading a counterpart to accept your opinions and appraisal
- Visiting several high-profile buildings and construction sites
- Taking part in presentations about real-estate markets and valuation
Methods:
Trainer input to provide framework, role plays, simulations.
Participant output will be videotaped for analysis and feedback.
Comments:
Participants should be prepared to speak English throughout the seminar.
The seminar will continue in the evening with group activities and discussions.
The evening activities are designed to further improve and reinforce language skills.
Participants are strongly encouraged to take part in these events.
Pre-requisites:
All participants must fulfill the requirements for an English language professional skills seminar at an intermediate level: The "Pre-Course Questionnaire" returned to Personnel.
