Private Wealth Management
Target Group:
Lending Officers, Relationship Managers and Investment Specialists who are actively engaged in advising high-net-worth clients on investments and managing risk in Fixed Income, Equities and Derivatives Markets. Private Wealth Management staff who would like to extend and practice highly specialized communications and terminology specific to the field of investments and risk management.
Seminar Target:
The focus will be on using appropriate communications skills and terminology associated with investments:- Establish good relationships with international colleagues, clients and business partners
- Understand and comply with internal guidelines and directives that are published in English
- Take part in teleconferences, meetings and presentations with more confidence
- Describe historical investment performance and track record
- Speak confidently about market movements and trends
- Persuade an investor that your team’s strategy can achieve the projected return on investment
- Explain diplomatically that your client’s portfolio has suffered a loss
- Justify the management fees and margin you intend to charge
Content:
- Practice teleconferencing with international colleagues
- Understanding internal correspondence and writing email responses
- Explaining the asset allocation and weighting of investment portfolios
- Talking about an investment’s past performance, current situation and future projections
- Presenting tailor-made investment strategies
- Advising risk-averse investors who are holding investments in troubled markets
- Pointing out risks and opportunities associated with various asset classes
Methods:
Trainer input, case studies, role-plays, simulations.
Participant output can be video taped for feedback and analysis
Comments:
Each participant will present one realistic case from daily business
to facilitate the practice-specific focus of the workshop.
Participants should be prepared to speak English during all phases of the workshop
to optimize the learning effect.
The seminar will continue in the evening with group activities and discussions.
The evening activities are designed to further improve and reinforce language
skills.
Pre-requisites:
All participants must fulfill the requirements for an English language professional skills seminar at an intermediate level: The "Pre-Course Questionnaire" returned to Personnel.
