Strategic Negotiations
Target Group:
Managers and employees who often negotiate in English would like to share their experience with other negotiators. In addition, this seminar is for those who would like to extend skills developed in the Meetings, Presentations or Sales workshops.
Seminar Target:
Participants in this seminar will improve their ability to:- Use appropriate language to manage difficult situations
- Avoid being taken advantage of by the other side
- Manage controversy more confidently
- Negotiate favorable terms with tough clients
Content:
- exploring interests, yours and theirs
- the language of negotiations
- appropriate responses to "tactics"
- guidelines for compromising and standing firm
- reaching agreement and leaving the door open to further negotiation
Comments:
Participants should be prepared to speak English throughout the seminar.
The seminar will continue in the evening with group activities and discussions. The evening activities are designed to
further improve and reinforce language skills. Participants are strongly encouraged to take part in these events.
Pre-requisites:
All participants must fulfill the requirements for an English language professional skills seminar at an intermediate level: The "Pre-Course Questionnaire" returned to Personnel.
Methods:
Trainer input to provide framework, role plays, simulations.
Participant output will be videotaped for analysis and feedback.
Participants: 8 max.
