Target Group:
Legal Staff who often communicate with international clients or colleagues to perform a significant part of their work or foresee this need in the future.
Seminar Target:
Participants in this seminar will improve their ability to:- Give advice to international clients and colleagues
- Negotiate favorable agreements with difficult counterparts
- Make presentations to international audiences
Content:
- Leading and directing the flow of a conversation
- Building consensus and support for ideas
- Present a persuasive argument concisely
- Compromise without giving too much away
- Avoid being taken advantage of by the counterpart
- Use specialized professional vocabulary and phrases correctly
Methods:
Trainer input, case studies, role plays, simulations, video and computer-based
training.
Participant input will be video taped for feedback and analysis.
Comments:
Participants should be prepared to speak English throughout the seminar.
The seminar will continue in the evening with group activities and discussions.
The evening activities are designed to further improve and reinforce language skills.
Participants are strongly encouraged to take part in these events.
Pre-requisites:
All participants must fulfill the requirements for an English language professional skills seminar at an intermediate level: The "Pre-Course Questionnaire" returned to Personnel.
