Credit Risk Management
Target Group:
Credit Analysts, Industry Experts, Structured Finance and Risk Management Specialists who require professional communications skills and highly specific Corporate Banking terminology in English in order to carry out a significant part of their work.
Seminar Target:
Participants in this seminar will improve their ability to:- Present a company, its activities and its financing request
- Explain the potential client’s business model
- Speak about a company’s track record, current situation and future projections with confidence
- Provide a concise outlook for the client’s sector
- Warn of possible risks and point out potential rewards
- State the bank’s terms and conditions clearly
- Outline the bank’s strategy with the client
- Justify interest rates and margins convincingly
- Implement exit strategies diplomatically
Content:
- Setting the correct tone (e.g. optimism, caution, warning)
- Financial vocabulary regarding creditworthiness
- Formulating questions regarding the company’s financial situation
- Using industry-specific vocabulary to talk about the business sector of your client
- Referring to balance-sheet figures, profit-loss accounts, forecasts and collateral
- Stating clear recommendations to a credit committee
- Persuading with sound arguments for your analysis
Methods:
Trainer input, case studies, role-plays, simulations.
Participant output will be videotaped for feedback and analysis.
Comments:
Each participant will present one realistic case from daily business
to facilitate the practice-specific focus of the workshop.
Participants should be prepared to speak English during all phases of the workshop
to optimize the learning effect.
The seminar will continue in the evening with group activities and discussions.
The evening activities are designed to further improve and reinforce language
skills.
Pre-requisites:
All participants must fulfill the requirements for an English language professional skills seminar at an intermediate level: The "Pre-Course Questionnaire" returned to Personnel.
