Advanced Communications Skills Workshop
Target Group:
Managers and employees who need to take a leading role in meetings, negotiations and presentations held in English. For those who require a high degree of proficiency in English and would like to participate in a highly interactive seminar. Additionally, this workshop is an ideal follow-up course for those who have taken part in previous management communication skills workshops.
Seminar Target:
Participants in this seminar will polish their ability to:- Lead a meeting and direct the flow of conversation
- Negotiate favorable deals, even with uncooperative counterparts
- Act appropriately in embarrassing or difficult situations
- Present yourself and your ideas in a professional manner
Content:
- Meetings -
Staying on target, avoiding time-wasters, getting results
- Negotiations -
Recognizing tactics, breaking through a deadlock, reframing
- Presentations - Structuring effectively, using visuals correctly, arousing audience interest, presenting professionally
Methods:
Trainer input to provide framework, role plays, simulations.
Participant output will be videotaped for analysis and feedback.
Comments:
Participants should be prepared to speak English throughout the seminar. The seminar will continue in the evening with group activities and discussions. The evening activities are designed to further improve and reinforce language skills. Participants are strongly encouraged to take part in these events.
Pre-requisites:
All participants must fulfill the requirements for an English language professional skills seminar at an intermediate level: The "Pre-Course Questionnaire" returned to Personnel.
